Cahuita National Park is located near the small town of Cahuita on Costa Rica’s southern Caribbean coast.
The protected area of Cahuita National Park totals an impressive 1,068 hectares (2,639 acres) of land and 22,400 hectares (55,351 acres) of marine zone. Included in this are several different habitats. There is lowland primary forest, secondary forest, tidal mangrove, beach, and coral reef.
You will meet some new friends along the road such as white faced monkeys, sloths, snakes, raccoons, and numerous other different types of species that you will be able to observe and learn about. After about half way of the hike (around 2.5 km), we will return to the entrance of the National park
